Kristelsa » The cold never bothered them anyway. (Part 2)
This gifset is a follow up / an expansion of this gifset! As I mentioned there, I like to think that Elsa and Kristoff grew up together - and Kristoff always knew about her powers since the troll incident. This time around, Elsa decides to sneak out of the castle and practice her magic in the woods - and then runs into Kristoff. She’s worried she’ll hurt him, but he only tells her how much he loves her powers, and that “Ice is my life!” So every time she sneaks out, she helps him tend to the ice; and sometimes, he takes her up to see the North Mountain.
As they grow older, Queen duties overrule playtime so they don’t see each other as often, but she’s gotten so good at sneaking out that she even got to see him on her coronation day! “You must really wanna see me, Ice Queen.” (shot for unoriginal nickname) And finally, during the party, the rest of Arendelle discovers her abilities. And when she runs off, Kristoff knows exactly where she plans to go.
Atop the North Mountain - he almost doesn’t recognize her. Golden white hair that was always so perfectly intact now shaped her face - a beautiful braid tossed over her shoulder. It reminded him a lot of when she was a kid. Even the way she walked seemed different - it was a lot more carefree; and despite the surrounding ice, her smile was a whole lot warmer. He asks her why she ran - why she doubted her ability to control her powers after all this time. She said no one believed in her. He said he did.
And in the heart-warming tags of bealeeve-me, all this time, Kristoff has “understood how beautiful her ice work was. He found beauty in the place where other people only found fear. He gets her.”
